The world we are currently living in reflects the decisions that we have made in the past. We spray poison on the food that we eat and pump it into the water we drink, all the while telling ourselves that we have made great scientific leaps. Today, everything is digital, processed and chemically enhanced. There is no doubt that we humans are falling out of sync with nature. The more you live in alignment with nature and its biological rhythms, the smoother your life will flow. Our breath and heartbeat are constant reminders of life’s pulsing rhythm that moves around and within us. Planet earth is one big ecosystem which connects everything and everyone. The awardees were selected for their selfless dedication to the cause of humanity and society, having provided the needed leadership and also distinguishing themselves in their respective fields of endeavour. The programme saw the University, Ghana’s first private and chartered university, conferring four honorary doctorate degrees on some distinguished African personalities at the ceremony. President Hichilema was speaking on the theme: “Maintaining Excellence, Integrity and Service in an Era of Global Instability and Permissiveness”, at a special honorary awards’ ceremony at the Valley View University (VVU), in the Greater Accra Region. “This is the intersection, the convergence point,” he emphasised. The churches served the very purpose that the government also served – promoting the wellbeing of the people, he explained. “We are partners and not competitors in many areas of human endeavour,” the President noted.
